Senior National Account Manager – Premium Drinks


Our retained client is a globally renowned drinks business with a large and diverse portfolio of premium label spirits brands and now seeking to appoint an experienced Senior National Account Manager to help drive business growth across the Wholesale channel.

The primary purpose of this key and challenging role is to interface and manage relationships between my client and a number of key strategic partnership accounts. You will be tasked with further developing the brand portfolio profile and critical client/customer relationships whilst maintaining full P&L responsibility for each associated account. You will use your previous experience gained within National Accounts and the drinks industry to deliver and exceed on strategic objectives, driving volume sales performance as well as act as an ambassador for the brand across the broader route to market channel.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding and still very ambitious individual that is now keen to become a genuine key component part of a dynamic National Account function. The ideal candidate will already have substantial experience of managing a major wholesale accounts both in Scotland and England.


Role Purpose

  • Manage the relationship with key customer contacts within the strategic account function
  • Ensure all relevant products are always available at the optimum and appropriate level of store distribution across account portfolio
  • Implement the key elements of the client’s marketing plan, ensuring that activity focuses towards delivering the overall business plan
  • Drive NPD
  • Drive marketshare and overall category growth


Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years National Account Management experience within Wholesale (FMCG/drinks) essential, demonstrating a strong understanding of relevant customers and markets
  • Previous experience of successfully negotiating terms/investment
  • Will have developed a promotional calendar from scratch
  • Evidence of delivering targets and achieving objectives
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and build sustainable relationships with all levels of the business and with external customer’s/key stakeholders
  • Strong selling skills, with proven ability to negotiate and influence others
  • Highly organised with the ability to develop and work to detailed plans, seeing plans through to delivery
  • Highly numerate as well as possessing a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Competitive salary, c50-60,000 + Car Allowance + first class bonus scheme + PMI + Pension
